Development of Parental Efficacy Scale to Measure Parents’ Involvement Capabilities in Elementary Education

Parental involvement had benefit for the education of elementary children. Yet, knowing parental efficacy was important factor to do such involvement. The purpose this study design and examine a practical, valid, reliable scale measuring parents’ capabilities involve in education. A total 402 parents children participated study, consisting 114 fathers (28.36%) 288 mothers (71.64%). They were selected randomly from 10 schools fulfilled informed consent showing they voluntarily study. Efficacy Scale which been designed tested its practicality, validity reliability. This self-report instrument asked respond 67 items containing six aspects, namely their belief be able parenting children, communicating with school, helping learn at home, becoming school volunteers, making decisions, collaborating community. results showed that all three requirements aspects.
